sherry week with el lopo

November 3th-9th is International Sherry Week this year, and true to form, El Lopo is way overdoing it.

We'll be bringing in some rare one-off bottles that aren't exactly sustainable for our regular menu, but they'll be open and available in tasting pours starting from Monday the 3rd until they're gone.

Our regular Tuesday night ritual of Sherry-Oke is still on for Tuesday the 4th, but with an even better deal: if you sing a song, ALL sherries by the glass are half off for the rest of the night!

On Thursday the 6th, we'll be joined by our friend Sean Norton of ¿Por qué no? Selections, who sources a lot of our favorite wines and just happens to be the Bay Area's only certified sherry educator. For the fifth year running, he'll be leading us through an interactive (read: sippable) sherry appreciation class from 7-9pm. Click below to find more info and to register.

Perhaps most exciting, we'll also be hosting our third annual San Francisco Sherry Week Bingo - a collaborative game that challenges players to seek out our favorite fortified experiences at different bars and restaurants all across town. As if the chase itself weren’t rewarding enough, the participating bars and restaurants have put up a variety of food and drink prizes to give you some extra motivation.
