get your tapas pass for 4/20

so me and Wyatt were talking about what El Lopo should do for 4/20 and we couldn't really decide, but I was like
it should definitely involve tapas
and then he's all
obviously it should involve tapas but how are gonna make it special
and I go
you know, like with a special menu just for the night
and Wyatt's like
breh we do that shit all the time though
and I went
wait
what if
there was no menu
and he stares at me like dude what kinda gildas you been munching on and then suddenly I can see his eyes widen like now he's munching on the exact same gildas as I been munching on and we just don't fuckin say a word to each other, we both get up and go to the kitchen and he starts heating up the cast irons and I start jamming on some stawberries and he busts out the mandoline and just shreds all kinds of root vegetables like they're going out of season, meanwhile I'm searing some proteins but I mean searing them HARD and at one point Wyatt picks up the 1927 palo cortado and looks at me and I nod back like you know there's no way we're not deglazing with 1927 palo cortado and before we know it there's hella tapas all over the counter, just this massive spread of delicious things that all have boquerones and chorizo bits and smoked olive oil and toasted almonds on top.
we didn't even sit down before we went to town on it; just started going ham on the jamon and packing the sardines in. I don't really know what all we made that night but like, isn't that the beauty of it? we didn't write down any recipes; we just savored the moment, and it's okay if no one ever tastes that moment again.
